Our Mission
The Fertile Grounds Project’s mission is to provide young people with the space, tools, and support they need to take control over their own educations and build an identity in a world where they can belong.
Through a variety of innovative programing inside and outside of schools we are providing opportunities for New York City youth to challenge themselves physically, emotionally, artistically, and intellectually.
Young people connected to the Fertile Grounds Project are meeting these challenges and finding fulfillment in each other and in themselves.
There are far too many students who are not being reached in our public education system.
It is necessary to rethink the educational methods we are using and consider creating new structures in order to reach those students.
